Guitar Truss Rod Adjustment & Repair in Redding, CA
Neck too bowed, too straight, or the rod won't turn. Adjustments, stuck and stripped nuts, and replacements.
The truss rod is the steel rod inside your neck that keeps it from bowing under string tension. When the weather changes, you switch string gauges, or the guitar sits for a while, the neck moves and the rod needs a tweak. A quick adjustment brings the action back down and stops buzz.
Sometimes the rod itself is the problem: the nut is rounded off, it won’t turn, or it’s maxed out. We sort out stuck and stripped nuts, replace worn hardware, and make hard-to-reach rods easy to adjust.
Not sure if it’s the truss rod? Bring it in. We’ll check the neck, tell you what it needs, and get it playing right.
