Active electronics run on a battery and give you more output, tone shaping, and features. They also add things that can go wrong: dead batteries, loose clips, noisy preamps, and batteries that drain overnight.
We fix battery boxes and clips, track down battery drain, and repair or replace preamps that crackle, distort, or quit. If you want more from your instrument, we can install a preamp, onboard EQ, mid boost, built-in tuner, or wireless system.
Most of this work is on basses, but we do guitars too. For bigger installs we’ll look at the cavity space and tell you what it takes before starting.
Bring it in with a fresh battery handy. Simple fixes are usually done in a day or two.
