Guitar Output Jack Repair in Redding, CA
Loose, crackly, or dead output jacks, plus jack plates, cups, and stereo jacks.
The output jack takes a beating. Cables get yanked, stepped on, and plugged in and out every day, so jacks work loose, wear out, and start crackling or cutting out.
If your guitar cuts out when you move the cable, the jack is usually the first place to look. A loose jack gets tightened and its wires fixed. A worn one gets replaced with a solid part that grips the cable. We also replace cracked Strat jack plates and loose Tele jack cups, and can install an Electrosocket so a Tele jack stops falling into the body.
Need a stereo jack for active electronics, or want the jack moved somewhere more comfortable? We can do that too.
Bring it in with the cable you use. Most jack fixes are quick.
