Guitar Nut Replacement & Nut Work in Redding, CA
Sticking, buzzing, or high nut slots. Replacements, upgrades, locking nuts, and string trees.
The nut is a small part that causes a lot of problems. Slots that are too high make the first few frets hard to play and pull chords out of tune. Slots that are too low buzz on open strings. Tight or rough slots grab the strings, so you hear pinging when you tune and the guitar drifts after bends.
We cut, file, shim, and lubricate nut slots, replace cracked or cheap nuts, and upgrade to bone, graphite, or brass. We also handle locking nuts, string trees, and retainer bars on tremolo guitars.
Bring it in and we’ll check the nut along with the rest of the setup.
